SMARTEX has collaborated with a range of artists during the project. These collaborations include a wide range of media including photographs, specimens, film, sculptures and installations. 

The work has been exhibited at the Natural History Museum, Tate, Tate St Ives, London School of Economics, John Hansard Gallery, Spode Works and Quay Arts. Examples of these collaborations include Soundings and Rare Earth Rising. 

The documentary film How Deep Is Your Love includes SMARTEX scientists and showcases our work at sea on SMARTEX expedition JC241.
